Things That Are Diverse

How much math did you get done by 8:35?

Today's presentation by the Earth Rangers was a great way to start back at school. If you are interested, here is their website. What did you learn from their presentation today? Comment and let us know.

Please hand back your Stop Motion forms and $ as soon as you can!

Things That Are Strong

Your skills in shading are strong.

You are strong reading buddies.

Triangles are strong.

Your restraint was strong when you resisted eating those jubejubes.

You have strong photogenic smiles.

You have strong muscles.

You had strong reactions to this story on World Read Aloud Day. Elmer is a strong duck.

Our school donations for RE Wilson are not so strong. They will be better tomorrow.

You are a strong team when you put your mind to it. Let's have another positive day tomorrow. Math in our new math groups, arts with Andrew, gym, and then we will work on our projects and our new art project as well. See you then.

Things That Flow

I'm glad you told me you wanted to learn cursive. You are all doing a super great job at it.

I hope you are enjoying our new Tuesday and Thursday math groups with Ray's class. It's nice to mix the groups up a little while learning about fractions and decimals.

Your "When You Reach Me" projects all look very creative. I hope you chose something you are excited about. I've seen diaries, raps, time capsules, iPhone apps, bookmarks, dioramas, scrapbooks, letters, stories from the future, timelines, songs, crystal balls, and author interviews. Am I missing any?

Here is the Class Oath that Megan introduced to us. I think it is simple and easy to understand. Let's make sure these last four months together are positive and as fun as humanly possible. Tomorrow's password is either "That's not okay" or "Focus on fun" or "I love 207".

Things That You Should Believe

Did you know that today is the birthday of Mark Paul Gosselaar from "Saved By the Bell"? It's also Ron Howard's birthday of "Happy Days"! BELIEVE me. It's true. Much like all of the rest of the stuff I say, all true and helpful.

Thank you for a great skate day.
If you need things for your "When You Reach Me" projects from home, please bring them on Monday.

This is the weekend. The what? The weekend. Oh, the weekend.
